I am a hard working and creative professional with multiple skill sets. I started as a machine repairman and worked up through the ranks of journeyman electrician, maintenance supervisor, production supervisor, advanced manufacturing engineer, electrical controls engineer, and software engineer. In fact,  I co-owned a tool and die shop for several years.

Starting as a maintenance technician in a multi-craft skilled trades environment upon my honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps (Avionics on primarily UH-1N helicopters), I learned machine repair, welding, machining equipment operation (vertical mills, lathes, surface grinders, etc), controls troubleshooting, and electrical panel wiring. I took advantage of every opportunity to learn machine controls design, PLC programming, and application development.

Initially, I learned to program in Turbo C (DOS) to create real-time applications for gaging equipment. I began the transition from manufacturing engineering to software engineering with the success of these projects programming in most mainstream languages.

In my spare time, I'm either enjoying quality time with my family, playing lead guitar in a rock band, or as a season ticket holder, watching the Dayton Dragons at Fifth Third Field.
